1st Time in the Pool

Rhett – we guessed you would probably love the water considering your lengthy time in the bath, but not only did you love it, you didn’t want to get out! EVER! Aunt Colleen came to visit and we took you to the neighborhood pool – boy, did you have a blast! You loved to push yourself off the ground in the pool, resulting in many attempts to dive forward into the water. Not time for that yet, Mr. We need to get a few swimming lessons under our belt before that milestone. We splished and we splashed around and then you took a big nap. Fresh air and sunshine never felt so good.

I Wanna Be Like Daddy

http://www.sarahbuckphotography.com

I just had to share this precious photo by Sarah of our little man in Patrick’s coveted baseball glove, blanket from his Gigi and a baseball with a story. Patrick was closer pitcher in college – pitched sidearm style which made him very unique. During his senior year at a game vs. SCAD in Grayson Stadium, Coach Howard decided to let Patrick be the starting pitcher. We all expected him to pitch is usual winning game, but we didn’t expect for him to last the entire game since he was typically a closer. His pitching style usually prevented such a long stretch of innings. Much to our surprise and complete adoration, Patrick not only pitched the entire game, but won the game with a no hitter. This ended his college career with such a wonderful memory in his hometown. He has always kept that very same baseball in which Rhett now treasures as a part of his nursery.
